FM4 collects and elutes atmospheric PFAS for GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS analysis.

The FM4 Air Sampler is the world’s first portable device for simultaneous collection of atmospheric particles and gaseous PFAS. It uses an impactor and three specialized collectors to efficiently capture both ionic and neutral PFAS, which are then eluted with organic solvent. The collected samples can be analyzed using GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS. A key feature is the GAIAC adsorbent, a newly developed material made from activated carbon fiber. Unlike conventional activated carbon, GAIAC offers improved pore structure and surface activity for efficient PFAS collection and elution.
